138 designers and brands from 20 countries and territories take over Sony Hall for six days of fashion, culture and purpose.
NEW YORK, NY, UNITED STATES, August 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Runway 7 will return to New York Fashion Week for its 11th season, presenting its Spring/Summer 2027 program from September 8 through 13 at Sony Hall in New York City. The six-day edition will bring together 138 designers and brands representing 20 countries, spanning established houses, independent labels and emerging talent across ready-to-wear, eveningwear, streetwear, swim, couture, bridal and accessories. The season will unfold through a global program of runway presentations, purpose-led showcases and culturally driven collections, opening with Elysian’s CatWalk FurBaby and culminating in an exclusive finale presentation by Malan Breton.
The September edition reflects Runway 7’s continued evolution as an international fashion platform, bringing together creative voices connected by craftsmanship, culture and purpose. From heritage-led collections to contemporary design and philanthropic initiatives, the season will spotlight distinct perspectives from around the world while reinforcing New York as a meeting point for international fashion and creative exchange. Recognized on the 2025 Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies, the platform enters its 11th season with an expanded global presence and particularly strong representation from Latin America.
“Season 11 reflects how far the platform has evolved and the kind of global creative community we continue to build,” said Diane Vara, Director of Public Relations & Marketing at Runway 7. “This September brings together established names and emerging voices with distinct cultural perspectives, while creating space for fashion to intersect with philanthropy, advocacy and entertainment. It is a season shaped not only by what appears on the runway, but by the stories, identities and ideas behind it.”
The season opens Tuesday, September 8, with Elysian’s fourth annual CatWalk FurBaby, presented under the theme “Women Inspiring Women.” Blending fashion, philanthropy and animal advocacy, the presentation will honor fashion industry pioneer Fern Mallis as its 2026 Lifetime Achievement Honoree. Special guests include Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin, Nicole Miller and Marc Bouwer, with participating designers including Victor de Souza, Anne Fontaine, Marc Bouwer Studio, L’Agence x Cate Brown, D’Marsh Couture, Mazarura, Any Old Iron and Magpies & Peacocks.
Across the week, the program will move between international design, cultural identity, social advocacy and entertainment. HIV Unwrapped will stage a private presentation centered on HIV research, lived experience and community voices, while designers including CHICK New York, Veritée Hill, Alejandro de los Reyes, Momma Boss Swim, Andre Soriano, Randhawa Brands and Jesse Lee Designs will contribute perspectives spanning contemporary ready-to-wear, streetwear, heritage-led design and couture.
One of the season’s most notable fashion and entertainment crossovers arrives Friday, September 11, with RR22, the collaboration between Edition22 and Grammy-nominated artist and entrepreneur Rick Ross. The presentation will bring Ross’ influence across music, culture and entrepreneurship to a collection rooted in street luxury, accessories and travel design.
On Saturday, September 12, Project Lab Coat will present Le Cœur en Scène, an immersive couture experience inspired by the theatrical elegance of European cabaret and dedicated to cancer awareness. In partnership with the Prevent Cancer Foundation, individual lab coats will represent different forms of cancer and the lives impacted by them. A cancer survivor participating through the Head and Neck Cancer Alliance will bring lived experience directly to the runway.
Having raised more than $200,000 in support of critical health causes, Project Lab Coat continues to connect fashion, medicine and philanthropy through relationships with Mount Sinai, Global Lyme Alliance, Project Lyme and Lymelight Foundation.
The six-day program will conclude Sunday, September 13, with an international lineup spanning couture, cultural design and distinctive fashion storytelling. Anthony Rubio will bring his signature canine couture to Sony Hall, while Archie Brown, Label Nimisha, Mina Concept, Genny Morgan, Priyal Doshi Couture, Nareeka Collection and Ana Kubu will contribute further global perspectives.
The evening will continue with ANTHM, Huneys, Stacey Martin Lifestyle, PCTheLabel and Hirun New York before internationally recognized couture house Malan Breton delivers the season’s exclusive finale presentation. Known for couture, Savile Row-informed tailoring and theatrical storytelling, the house has dressed internationally recognized figures including Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Janelle Monáe, Billy Porter, Kylie Minogue and Raye, bringing the six-day edition to a definitive close through craftsmanship, performance and global red-carpet influence.
The season will continue the following evening with the inaugural Runway 7 Fashion Awards on Monday, September 14, at 7 p.m. at Sony Hall. The first-ever ceremony will celebrate creativity and craftsmanship across fashion and its wider creative community, with honors spanning design, hair and makeup, modeling, media, performance and innovation. Categories will recognize excellence across streetwear, ready-to-wear, womenswear, global heritage, swimwear, haute couture, sustainable fashion, bridal, accessories and emerging design, among others.
Notable nominees include Simón Villalba, Jesse Lee, Paromita Ghosh, Amna Inam, Karen Chan and Markos Pimentel, representing a cross-section of couture, global heritage and emerging talent.
