4K Clarity, Wide-Angle Coverage, Reduced False Alerts
The Tapo Doorbell Pro D260 captures the entire doorstep in crystal-clear 4K detail with an expansive 180° diagonal field of view, allowing homeowners to see everything from visitor faces to packages left at the door. Advanced radar technology coupled with traditional PIR sensors work together to significantly reduce false alerts and track motion more accurately. Additionally, integrated 3D motion mapping allows homeowners to see an aerial view of activity around the entryway.
Flexible Power Options & IP66 Weather-Resistant Durability
IP66 weather-resistance boasts reliable protection year-round and multiple power options allow homeowners to configure the doorbell to best suit their lifestyle. Hardwire connection enables 24/7 recording and Pre-Roll, a feature that lets users see up to four extra seconds of footage leading up to an event for the full context. Meanwhile, the rechargeable battery lasts an average of 180 days on a single charge.*
Privacy & Subscription Free AI
The Tapo Doorbell Pro D260 is built for privacy by keeping footage and data in the user’s hands with no subscription required. On-device AI detection identifies people, animals, vehicles, and packages, with local storage available via a separate MicroSD card, up to 512 GB. Facial recognition is entirely optional: homeowners can enable it to store up to 50 profiles locally, or leave it off entirely.**
Easy Smart Home Integration
Homeowners can stay connected to the front door from anywhere. The Tapo App delivers real-time doorbell alerts and three ways for users to communicate with visitors. Doorbell Call places a call directly to the user when a visitor presses the doorbell. Two-Way Audio enables a live conversation through the app. Quick Responses let users send a pre-set message when they are unavailable.
The D260 also integrates seamlessly with the broader Tapo smart home ecosystem. When linked to Tapo’s existing smart locks under the same account, users can unlock the door with a single tap directly from both the doorbell live view and the Doorbell Call interface. The D260 supports Tapo Hubs as indoor chimes and works with the Tapo H500 HomeBase for centralized local video storage and management, alongside broad compatibility across Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and SmartThings.
Availability
The Tapo D260 expands Tapo’s smart home security lineup with a step up in imaging, detection, and subscription-free intelligence and will officially launch on September 30, 2026 with an MSRP of $219.99 on Amazon and Tapo.com. Existing members of the Tapo community can also unlock an exclusive pre-launch $60 discount by purchasing the code for $1 on the official Tapo website between September 15 and September 29, 2026.
