Madison, WI. – Grieve Civil Law, a Wisconsin law firm, has awarded Elliott Nielsen a $500 scholarship. Nielsen is a current student at University of Wisconsin-Madison and will be applying this scholarship towards her continued attendance.
Grieve Civil Law’s practice centers around estate planning and they seek to support individuals, businesses, and families of all backgrounds. This scholarship is part of that commitment to the communities they serve.
“Estate planning is about planning for the future. This scholarship gives students an opportunity to reflect on the impact they want to have on their families and communities as they build their futures,” said Tom Grieve, Grieve Civil Law’s CEO and Founder.
To receive the scholarship, students are asked to reflect on the impact they will have on their future community. The prompt for the scholarship essay is: Imagine you are 40 years old. What is one thing you want to have done for your family or community by then, and why is that important to you?
In her essay, Nielsen outlines her clear goals for the future and how she wants to impact her community. She is pursuing a career in genetic counseling which combines her interests in science and ethical healthcare. By the time she hits 40 years old, she plans to “have built a career that not only provides direct patient care but also contributes to improving healthcare access.”
Grieve Civil Law offers an annual scholarship to graduating high school seniors or college students of any year. To apply, students must submit their transcripts, submit a 500 word essay, and meet the scholarship requirements concerning enrollment and GPA.
