SciFin, which helps revenue teams turn fragmented information into timely action, today emerged from stealth and announced $44 million in seed funding. The round was co-led by Altimeter and Madrona with participation from Foundation Capital, S32, Zetta Ventures and others.

Founded by enterprise software pioneer Mohit Aron, co-founder of Nutanix and founder of Cohesity, SciFin addresses a challenge Aron encountered repeatedly while building and scaling enterprise software companies: organizations have more data than ever, yet leaders and their teams still spend enormous amounts of time trying to understand what is actually happening inside their businesses.

As companies add systems, workflows, and specialized tools, information becomes scattered across applications, customer interactions, operating reviews, and institutional knowledge. SciFin calls the resulting disconnect the Context Gap: the distance between the information an organization has and the complete picture its leaders and teams need when making decisions.

“We need to move from systems of record to systems of reality,” said Mohit Aron, founder and CEO of SciFin. “As a CEO, I expect my teams to spend time helping the business grow. Instead, we find ourselves spending an enormous amount of time gathering information to diagnose what was actually happening with our customers, our development teams and our revenue operations. Everything requires a meeting. The more we dig into it, the more we realize this isn’t a people problem. It is a context problem.”

Initially focused on revenue organizations, SciFin connects information across accounts, deals, forecasts, reps, territories, customer conversations, and operating workflows in a continually maintained operating picture. Pixie, SciFin’s AI companion, turns that picture into answers, reports, and recommended actions. This helps reps keep deal context current and prepare for meetings with less admin, while giving managers coaching priorities before team calls. Sales leaders, RevOps, and finance can surface risk, build reports, and act sooner from the same maintained view. Teams can keep the tools they value while consolidating overlapping systems to reduce costs and simplify stack management.

“Advisors have access to a lot of information, but it isn’t always connected or available when they need it,” said Emmanuel Dounias, Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. “SciFin’s aim to bring that context together would reduce manual work, help advisors spend more time with clients on more relevant conversations, and better provide the services their clients need.”

“Mohit is one of the rare founders who has built and scaled category-defining enterprise companies twice, first at Nutanix and then at Cohesity,” said Apoorv Agrawal, Partner at Altimeter. “SciFin comes directly from his experience running those businesses: leaders drowning in data but starving for context. AI models have gotten really performant, but it’s trusted context that we believe will make enterprises truly rely on AI. That’s the foundational challenge SciFin is built to solve. When an operator of his caliber attacks a problem he lived firsthand, we wanted to be his first call. We’re proud to lead this round.”

“Few founders have demonstrated Mohit’s ability to identify foundational enterprise challenges before the market fully recognizes them,” said Karan Mehandru, Managing Director at Madrona. “From Hyperconverged Infrastructure at Nutanix to modern Data Management at Cohesity, he has consistently helped organizations rethink how critical systems should work. I have backed Mohit across multiple companies and rounds for over a decade, and we believe SciFin is tackling another fundamental problem faced by revenue teams across every organization and one that becomes increasingly important as organizations seek to make better decisions in an increasingly complex and AI-driven world. We are inspired by SciFin’s mission and I am honored to partner again with Mohit on this ambitious journey.”

The funding will support SciFin’s continued investment in product development, go-to-market expansion, customer growth, and its vision to close the Context Gap within the enterprise.
