Westlake Village, California — August 13, 2026 — Zobrist Software Group, Inc., maker of Smart Merchandiser, the AI-powered merchandising platform used by leading retail and apparel brands, today announced it has completed both SOC 2 Type II and SOC 3 examinations for the Smart Merchandiser system. The examinations — reports on the organization’s controls relevant to security — were performed by independent auditor Johanson LLP and cover the period of April 9, 2026 through July 9, 2026.
The attestations are based on the AICPA Trust Services Criteria for Security. A SOC 2 Type II report evaluates not only whether security controls are suitably designed, but whether they operated effectively over a defined period of time — a meaningful step beyond the SOC 2 Type I attestation Zobrist Software Group achieved in April 2026, which assessed control design at a single point in time. The SOC 3 report provides a publicly shareable summary of the same examination for customers and partners evaluating Smart Merchandiser’s security posture.
