10th acquisition adds 45-year-old San Angelo HVAC company while
preserving the Bowles name and family leadership
SAN ANGELO, TX, UNITED STATES, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — The Chill Brothers (“Chill Brothers”), a residential and commercial HVAC and home services company, today announced its 10th acquisition with the addition of Bowles Heating and Cooling (“Bowles”), a second-generation, family-led HVAC company serving San Angelo and the Concho Valley for more than 45 years. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The acquisition expands Chill Brothers’ presence in West Texas while preserving the local identity and leadership behind one of San Angelo’s longstanding HVAC businesses. Bowles will retain its name, with Nathan Bowles, son of founder Guy Bowles, continuing to lead the company as General Manager.
Founded by Guy Bowles in 1980, Bowles has built its reputation through customer loyalty, high-quality customer service and deep roots in the communities it serves. Today, the company serves more than 14,000 customers across San Angelo and the surrounding region and has an established base of recurring maintenance customers.
“Bowles represents exactly what we look for in a partner: a strong local brand, an exceptional reputation, and a leadership team committed to continued growth,” said Neil Bhapkar, Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Corporate Development at The Chill Brothers. “Nathan and his team have spent decades earning the trust of their customers, and our job is to build on that foundation. We are excited to partner with and invest in the people and the brand that have made Bowles the impressive business it is today.”
Nathan Bowles has spent 18 years with the company his father founded and became its second-generation owner in 2021. Under Chill Brothers’ ownership, Nathan and Bowles’ existing leadership team will continue to manage the business and serve its customers.
“When your family’s name is on the business, choosing who comes next is about much more than a transaction,” said Nathan Bowles, General Manager of Bowles Heating and Cooling. “I wanted a partner that respected our employees, our customers, our name and the way we have built this company. With The Chill Brothers, we can preserve what makes Bowles special while adding resources and capabilities that can help us take the business even further. I’m excited to continue leading Bowles, build on what my family and our team have created over the last 45 years, and see how much further we can take it together.”
As part of The Chill Brothers, Bowles will gain access to additional technology, operational resources, marketing capabilities, training and capital to support continued growth. The acquisition also creates a base for Chill Brothers’ continued expansion across West Texas. The company intends to pursue both organic growth and additional acquisition opportunities throughout the region.
“We’re proud to welcome Nathan and the entire Bowles team to The Chill Brothers family,” said Brennan Mulcahy, CEO of The Chill Brothers. “Our growth has always been driven by people who take pride in their work and care deeply about their customers. The Bowles team shares those values, and we’re excited to grow together and create opportunities for everyone across the Chill Brothers family.”
Chill Brothers continues to actively evaluate acquisition opportunities and welcomes confidential conversations with owners of established HVAC and home services businesses, as well as M&A advisors representing companies in the sector.
