Team Brings Diverse Perspectives to SINGULARORBIT’s Aerospace Strategy
HUNTSVILLE, AL, UNITED STATES, October 14, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SINGULARORBIT, a private aerospace company that develops and delivers integrated capabilities and services across the space mission lifecycle, today announced its Board of Directors, bringing together five leaders with distinctly different backgrounds to help guide the company’s growth and commercialization strategy. The Board will provide perspective and guidance as SINGULARORBIT advances its specialized operating divisions and expands the commercialization of capabilities spanning satellite recovery, space statement of work services, deep space logistics services and regulatory expertise.
“The idea was to create the Swiss Army knife of governing boards,” said Duane “Hammer” Redding, Founder and Chairman of the Board of SINGULARORBIT. “We didn’t want a room full of people who had spent their careers looking at the space industry through the same lens. We deliberately sought out leaders who would challenge us from different perspectives, ask different questions and bring experience that extends well beyond the technical side of the business. It’s the kind of board I believe will make SINGULARORBIT stronger.”
The SINGULARORBIT Board of Directors includes:
Duane “Hammer” Redding, Chairman of the Board – Founder of SINGULARORBIT and an aerospace engineer with more than 30 years of experience, Redding has held engineering and technical leadership roles supporting NASA, Lockheed Martin, Rolls-Royce, IBM, Aerojet Rocketdyne and other leading aerospace organizations. His work has contributed to major spaceflight programs spanning human exploration, spacecraft systems, propulsion and advanced digital design and analysis.
Dr. Steven F. Isenberg – A physician, entrepreneur, investor and experienced board director, Isenberg is a Venture Partner at Meridian Street Capital and has founded and led multiple businesses while investing in early-stage companies. His extensive corporate, professional and advisory board experience brings expertise in entrepreneurship, investment, governance and commercialization to SINGULARORBIT.
Jay Kalath – Founder and CEO of Allied Mission Group, Kalath is a technology and business executive with more than two decades of experience building and growing companies and supporting federal civilian and defense agencies. His career spans business development, operations, technology, program delivery and P&L leadership, with experience supporting NASA, the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, Department of State and other federal agencies.
Scott Manley – An astrophysicist, programmer and internationally recognized science communicator, Manley combines a background in astrophysics and computational physics with extensive technology and software experience. Through his widely followed YouTube channel, he has built a global audience of nearly two million subscribers by making spaceflight, astronomy and rocket science accessible to broad audiences.
Dr. R. Andrew “Andy” Motes – An engineer, physicist, author, educator and retired U.S. Air Force Colonel, Motes brings more than 30 years of technical and scientific experience to the board. His career includes work on the Strategic Defense Initiative, the Army’s Tactical High Energy Laser program, the Air Force’s Airborne Laser program and NASA space communications efforts. A former instructor of Astronautical Engineering and control theory at the U.S. Air Force Academy, he has authored more than 20 books as well as scientific articles and software applications.
Together the directors bring experience from some of the world’s most complex aerospace, defense, technology, scientific and business environments. Their collective expertise will help SINGULARORBIT elevate opportunities, navigate commercial and government markets and maintain a strong focus on commercialization as the company advances its operating divisions.
